Many times in my life, I’ve known Christians (both leaders and lay) to teach or act as if music (and/or the other Arts) were unimportant or peripheral to the real issues of the Faith, viewing it as a pleasant but unessential part of the life of a follower of Christ (and sometimes even condemning it because of the pleasure it brings).
